It was a great outing for the bowlers in the 2nd ODI between Pakistan & Zimbabwe at Rawalpindi. Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first on what seemed to be a bouncy wicket. For Pakistan, Musa Khan and Haider Ali made their ODI debuts and Iftikhar Ahmed brought up his maiden five-wicket haul in ODI’s versus Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe could only score 206 and Sean Williams top-scored with 75.

Iftikhar gave away only 40 runs in his quota of 10 overs and got 5 wickets against it. Going at a very modest economy rate of 4 runs per over, he not only stemmed the flow of runs but got wickets of the batsmen who were set and posed a threat to Pakistan.
Five batsmen who Iftikhar dismissed were centurion from the last game Brendan Taylor, Wesley Madhevere, Sikandar Raza, Tendai Chisoro and highest run-scorer of this innings Sean Williams.
Iftikhar never got a fifer before this game so he is up on the list to be the man of the match for his superb performance with the ball.
